I am an Emmy nominated multi-platform video journalist with work in Vice, BBC, Al Jazeera, Canal+, ZDF, The Economist, DW News, and France24. Over the past decade, I have directed, produced, hosted, shot, and edited news reports, documentaries, and commercial campaigns for clients spanning South Asia, Europe, and North America.  My storytelling is premised on candour, care, and creativity.

Between 2013 and 2018, I was the correspondent for France24, reporting from over 10 countries including India and the United States. I have reported from the frontlines of several crucial and pivotal events including the US Presidential Elections, economic inequality in Haiti, Indian national elections and the rise of extremism, riots and protests, earthquakes in Nepal, Hurricanes in Florida and South Carolina in the US, and the conflict in Kashmir, the world’s most militarized zone.

As a Reporter, I have extensive experience from the field in multicultural environments, and from high pressure Live-studio broadcasts. As a Documentary filmmaker and Producer, I have covered political and religious extremism, climate change, and humanitarian crisis for Netflix, Arte, ZDF, Vice World News, and Canal+.

In 2022, my work was nominated for two Emmys, a One World Media award, and a Rory Peck Award.

I have a proven track record in digital media content creation that has amassed millions of views on various social media platforms, and have worked with industry leaders like Brut India, Red Bull Media, and Facebook. In 2018, I co-founded a production studio : Miya Biwi Films : to experiment with storytelling formats in fiction, and non-fiction narratives. I direct, conceptualise, and lead research on all our short films. We have worked with some of the most culturally influential brands in India.

In 2023-24, I will spend my time at Harvard University on the prestigious Nieman Fellowship for journalists, working with a cohort of extraordinary peers from around the world to develop our individual and collective journalistic inquiry further.
